Founded in 1937, Roemer Industries LLC is a manufacturer of custom graphic
identification products, including metal nameplates, labels, graphic overlays, and
industrial tags designed for demanding outdoor and industrial environments. The
company supports a diverse customer base of industrial manufacturers, transportation
authorities, and OEMs with custom-engineered identification solutions produced through
comprehensive in-house manufacturing capabilities.
The XLi platform represents a time-proven solution designed to provide unlimited
flexibility in configurating systems to meet the individual needs of today’s
manufacturers. This successful installation marks another milestone in strengthening
Chemcut’s leadership in the chemical milling industry, offering a platform that is not only
optimized for current production but also engineered for the future’s highly technical
requirements.
The XLi-40 platform is built upon a modular design concept, where each processing station is
self-supporting and floor-mounted. The system utilizes a horizontal direct gear-driven conveyor
with high-profile gears for extended life.
The platform is equipped with Chemcut’s ULTRATHIN conveyor transport system, which is
specifically designed to handle panels with a minimum core thickness of 0.004 inches. This
capability ensures the system can meet the tight process windows required for both standard
and next-generation chemical milling applications.
Together, these features enable higher uptime, consistent output, and a lower total cost of
ownership for customers producing complex, high-precision components.
“Collaborating with the Chemcut team on this installation was a seamless experience. From
initial site preparation through final calibration, their technical expertise and clear communication
made the entire process highly efficient. This new capability positions us to scale our operations
and deliver even greater value to our customers,” said Jill Palumbo, Chief Operating Officer
Roemer Industries LLC.
"The successful installation of our XLi-40 system is a significant validation of our wet-process
strategy," said Jerry Reitz, Vice President at Chemcut Corp. "The XLi is a time-proven platform
that balances high-precision etching with the flexibility needed for today’s chemical milling
needs and the highly technical requirements of the future. This system will enable our
customers to advance their manufacturing capabilities with unparalleled reliability."
“Special thanks to Roemer Industries for choosing Chemcut as their preferred equipment
supplier. I’d also like to thank our engineering, manufacturing, technical sales and service teams
for their dedication to this project”.
