ITL Circuits Selects Chemcut Equipment For Its New Plant

March 26, 2008

Chemcut Corporation, the United States’ leading manufacturer and supplier of wet processing equipment, announces that ITL Circuits, an Ontario, Canada-based printed circuit board manufacturer, will install a Chemcut 8000 Strip-Etch-Strip system in its production facility in Markham, Ontario in April 2008.

The Chemcut 8000 purchase extends a relationship that began in 1978 when ITL Circuits purchased its first Chemcut system. Since then, ITL Circuits has purchased 20 Chemcut systems. Prior to this latest purchase, ITL Circuits personnel evaluated systems from multiple vendors, but ultimately decided to remain with Chemcut because, as stated by ITL Circuits’ technical and production management team, “Chemcut has proven over 30 years to have reliable, low-maintenance, and moderately priced equipment.”

“We are very pleased that ITL Circuits has selected Chemcut to be the provider of chemical etching and cleaning process equipment at their new state-of-the-art facility,” stated Rick Lies, Chemcut’s CEO. “Chemcut has been the technology leader in the wet processing and chemical etching industries for more than 50 years, and this expansion of our relationship with ITL Circuits is a testament to the design innovation and dedication to customer service that have kept Chemcut at the top of the industry for the past five decades.”

ITL Circuits, Inc. is the largest privately owned printed circuit board manufacturers in Canada, employing approximately 150 people. The company, founded in 1970, is a full-service circuit board manufacturer, with capabilities extending from single-sided boards to high-layer count multi-layers. ITL Circuits currently produces PCBs for commercial, military, telecommunications, medical, industrial, and aerospace applications. The new facility, which reflects the tremendous success the company has experienced over its 38-year history, will increase ITL Circuit’s production capacity significantly, enabling the company to expand its current customer base, while providing an even higher level of service to its current customers.

Chemcut Corporation, founded in 1957, was the original developer of spray etching, a technique that made the chemical etching process practical for volume, as well as prototype production, and has made chemical etching an effective metalworking tool. Chemcut offers a complete line of spray etchers, developers, strippers, waste treatment systems, and auxiliary equipment. With an installed base of more than 15,000 wet processing systems worldwide, Chemcut is uniquely qualified to meet stringent manufacturing demands across a wide variety of industries.
